Our heritage

The foundation of our methodology is the synthesised work of several of the most eminent psychologists of the 20th century.

This rare knowledge of how human beings behave, create and interact lies at the heart of everything that we do. These practises are supported by a form of mindfulness we teach called ‘self-remembering’, which generates the highest forms of human behaviour, interactions and action.

The Mind at Work’s knowledge and method comes directly from these remarkable teachers; as a result our work is not commonplace, not being sourced from academic journals or bestsellers.

  • Viktor Frankl

His body of work illuminated the human need for meaning and purpose. This focuses upon the importance of the individual finding personal meaning from experience, creativity and in choosing one’s attitude.

It is his work that instigated the current interest in organisational and personal purpose and meaningfulness.

  • Albert Ellis

The founder of cognitive behavioural therapy. His work offers highly effective practises that address stress, negativity and limiting mindsets and behaviours, which block high performance.

The foundations of his approach lie in challenging the mind and its unconscious limiting beliefs and assumptions.

  • Carl Rogers

The founder of person-centred psychology, which forms the basis of effective coaching and teamwork. His approaches to human relationships have wide application including organisational settings.

He developed practises for empowerment, collaboration and conflict resolution that are highly effective and respected to this day.

  •

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

    Viktor Frankl
  •

There are three musts that hold us back: I must do well. You must treat me well. And the world must be easy.

    Albert Ellis
  •

It is astonishing how elements that seem insoluble become soluble when someone listens, how confusions that seem irremediable turn into relatively clear flowing streams when one is heard.

    Carl Rogers
