Multi-National Oil – Global Leadership

Meeting the growing demand for energy worldwide in ways that minimise environmental and social impact is a major challenge for the global energy industry. For this multi national oil company, great leadership is at the heart of its strategy.

We partnered with the company to design and deliver a leadership programme aimed not just at its established senior leaders, but also those making the transition to senior enterprise-wide roles.

They had identified four main leadership attributes – performance, innovation, collaboration and authenticity.

The Mind at Work helped create the programme and raise both consciousness and skill levels to meet the highest standards expected of leaders in this global business.

The programme ran over 18 months. It included 360 degree appraisal and two week-long events which we co-facilitated. Peer coaching sets explored a specified strategic challenge – learning while doing, developing coaching skills and applying new leadership skills to live situations.


In 2014 the company was judged one of the global winners in Fortune/AON-Hewitt’s survey of Top Companies for Leadership. We were proud to be part of that success.
